New Labour Codes – Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020

The Central Government has notified four labour codes, namely, the Code on Wages, 2019, on August 8, 2019, and the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, the Code on Social Security, 2020, and the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020 on September 29, 2020.The Code of OSH which deals with Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions at Work Places assumes highest significance as businesses have to refocus on Work Place Health and Safety Conditions to protect the health of workers due to ongoing pandemic crisis and health issues that are faced by workers, employees at work places.

Fake Covid Test Reports carried by Indian passengers while going global

In the last few days, we are seeing press reports about travel restrictions, ban imposed by many countries on passengers traveling from India as they are seeing a sudden spike in covid positive cases from these passengers travelled from India carrying Covid Negative Test Report. They were tested positive in the importing country. What went wrong with verification system with our Airlines ?

Derecognition of Five Agencies Certifying Organic Exports from India by EC

The European Commission has decided to derecognise five certifying bodies (CBs) from giving clearance or ratifying exports of Indian organic products for their failure to meet the ethylene oxide (ETO) norms in consignments, particularly sesame (til/gingelly). The EU derecognised the five CBs, which certified over 80 per cent of the organic products exports to the EU as they had certified some 90 shipments.
